The 2014 American Music Awards gave me one of the most exciting weekends of my career so far. Hosting the Coca-Cola Red Carpet Live for a global audience was surreal - you prepare for it, you rehearse it, and then the lights come on and the artists start walking, and suddenly you're just having conversations with the biggest stars in music.
Some of my favorite moments came when cameras weren't rolling. Pre-show chats with publicists, last-minute outfit fittings, and run-ins with fellow hosts in the press room made the whole experience feel like a family reunion.
On stage, the show itself was everything I hoped for: Taylor Swift opening, Lorde closing out a tribute, and memorable performances from Nicki Minaj, Pitbull and Iggy Azalea. Every commercial break I ran back to my camera position to tell viewers what I was seeing backstage.
A huge thank you to the team at Dick Clark Productions and Coca-Cola for trusting me with the hosting chair. This is a moment I will never forget.
Enjoy the photos - these are straight from my phone, taken in between interviews.
